Documents, Data, and Cartoons Lesson Plan
Develop a lesson plan which includes at least two of the following three types of primary sources: documents, data, and political cartoons. You may want to review the Key Information from Topic 4-C for ideas on using political cartoons in different subject areas for additional ideas.
Consider the following questions in your plan:
What method will students use to analyze the document(s), data and political cartoon(s)? (SEA or NARA worksheet)
Will your students use a graphic organizer like a KWL chart or Venn diagram?
What final product will your students create, if any?
How will your activity promote critical thinking skills?
How will this lesson integrate with the rest of your curriculum?
Post your lesson plan to the wiki in the space provided by your instructor. Provide feedback to at least one of your peers through a comment on their wiki page.
